This practical module will help you to plan and carry out a nutritional assessment in adults in a variety of healthcare environments, including acute, community and care home settings. Assessment should begin on first contact with the person. It is an ongoing process that can take place over several hours or days. Learning aims and intended outcomes After completing this module, you should be able to: Understand the equipment and preparation needed to carry out an adult nutritional assessment. Identify the variety of skills needed to inform an adult nutritional assessment. Describe the procedure for carrying out an adult nutritional assessment.
